We've got your back, so you can focus on your lifts.
How to use the Barbell Math chart:
Our original Barbell Math chart guides you on what plates, and how many of each to load per side (45lbs, 25lbs, 10lbs, 5lbs, 2.5lbs). It takes into account the standard bar weight (45lbs) and provides loading assistance from 45lbs (bar only) to 490lbs. Here are the steps:
- Find the box with the weight you want to load (45lbs to 490lbs) on the chart
- From your weight, look at the column header (0x45, 1x45, 2x45, 3x45,4x45) to determine number of 45lbs plates to load (per side)
- Again from your weight, look at the columns to the left (25,10,5,2,5) to determine how many of each weighted plate to load (per side)
This chart is in POUNDS (lbs). A kilogram (KG) version coming soon! Chart guidelines assumes use of a standard barbell (~45lbs) and does not include the weight of additional clips/collars as these accessories vary widely based on availability and personal preference.
